The artist Tyra Kleen (1874-1951) was extremely productive and attracted considerable attention in her time, with successful exhibitions all over the world. Despite that, her life and work have fallen into oblivion. Perhaps this is because she herself chose to bequeath her large collection of art, sketches and diaries to the House of the Nobility in Stockholm, with instructions that is should not be opened for fifty years.
