Van Gogh, Hodler and a Cabriolet

Dubi-Muller was exceptionally well connected within Swiss and international artistic circles, and she collected works by Cezanne, van Gogh and Klimt, as well as Cuno Amiet and Ferdinand Hodler. As a photographer, she documented the lives of artist friends as well as her own experiences, including journeys across Europe and as far as North Africa. Whether mountaineering, motor racing or collecting art, Gertrud Dubi-Muller refused to be constrained by gender stereotypes and lived with remarkable independence for a woman of her time.
