This wine book about Piedmont is based on interviews done starting in the year 2000 over about a year with interesting wine growers – some will known and others not yet. It is a my personal conception of the people 'behind' these very good wines and it is not an attempt to rate the wine as such. All wines I have tasted are very good or excellent. The best you can do is to try the wines yourself together with some food that goes well along with the wine and then make your own rating. Even though the Baraol and Barberesco wines are the most well known wines you find very good Barbera, Dolcetto or Freisa wines or many others which you might like. There is such a variety of wines. Just go ahed and try them.
